Grounds Person

• Perform all required ground duties in support of specific job assignments, as directed by crew leader.
• Assist in the performance of specialized pruning and take-downs, installing cabling and bracing.
• Safely operate equipment.
• Participate in all job site safety briefings.
• Perform proper felling, limbing and bucking techniques with a chainsaw.
• Perform pruning from the ground with hand tools and pole saws, application of approved rigging techniques and knowledge of standard knots.
• Assist with driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties.
• Perform ground duties such as job site set up and clean up as required.

Requirements

• Previous industry experience is desired, but willing to train right candidate.
• Knowledge of pruning techniques including large shade trees and ornamentals.
• Ability to operate chainsaw, chipper, stump grinder and log mover.
• Knowledge of industry standard rigging techniques and knots
• Knowledge of native and introduced tree and shrub species and characteristics of each species is desired.
• Ability to lift 50lbs and occasionally 80-100lbs with assistance
• Valid Driver's License, CDL preferred.
• Bi-lingual is a plus

Benefits

Hourly range $21 - $24.
