We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Grounds Worker to support a local educational facility in Pueblo. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining clean and attractive grounds, and can work independently while contributing to a team environment. The selected candidate will assist with landscaping, grounds maintenance, and general outdoor upkeep to help ensure the campus remains safe, clean, and well-maintained.
Pay: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 12:00pm
Assignment Length: Temporary assignment through the end of June
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, and weeding
- Plant, prune, and water trees, shrubs, flowers, and other landscaping features
- Remove litter, leaves, and debris from campus grounds and outdoor areas
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of irrigation systems
- Operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Support general outdoor maintenance projects as assigned
- Assist with snow and ice removal during winter weather conditions, if needed
Requirements
- Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Experience operating lawn care and grounds maintenance equipment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Must be able to pass a background check
