Groundskeeper

Key Responsibilities:

• Routinely inspect and maintain college grounds, ensuring they are free of litter, debris, and hazards
• Remove trash from campus receptacles and designated waste areas
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers (walk-behind, push, zero-turn), trimmers, blowers, chain saws, and pruning tools
• Perform landscaping tasks including weeding, pruning, raking leaves, and maintaining shrubs, trees, and turf
• Maintain campus streets and parking areas, ensuring cleanliness and safety
• Identify and address potential safety risks across the grounds
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment
• Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors
• Support sustainability initiatives aligned with campus environmental goals

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 6 months of related experience
• Willingness to learn and operate landscaping tools and equipment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
• Availability to work weekends and overtime as needed
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
