Job Summary:

 

 

Maintains hospital grounds in a safe, clean, and attractive condition. Performs lawn care, landscaping, snow removal, trash removal, and related support duties.

Operates grounds equipment and assists with moving furniture and equipment as needed while following hospital safety, infection control, and policy requirements.

 

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Mows lawns, trims hedges, and rakes and removes leaves and refuse.
  • Plants and maintains flower beds, bushes, trees, etc…
  • Shovels and/or plows snow.
  • Applies insecticides as directed.
  • Administers water supply when required.
  • Moves furniture and equipment as requested.
  • Operates equipment, i.e. tractors and trucks.
  • Removes trash.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Observes all relevant risk management and infection control policies and procedures, and any applicable quality improvement activities.
  • Attends orientation and ongoing in-service education as required.
  • Observes all general hospital policies, guiding principles, and rules and regulations.

Education:

High School or GED PreferredExperience:Minimum 1 to 3 Years
