OVERVIEW:

DeSales University, in Center Valley, Pennsylvania, is a Catholic, private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts university. Founded by the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales in 1964, the 550-acre suburban campus is located about 50 miles north of Philadelphia and 90 miles southwest of New York City. POSITION SUMMARY:

The groundskeeper has the overall responsibility of maintaining the campus grounds and all equipment used by the department in the maintenance of grounds and snow removal.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Ability to make independent decisions, use good judgment and demonstrate integrity
• Proven ability to interact professionally and communicate effectively with individuals of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
• Must be able to work overtime upon supervisor''s request or workload
• Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license, transportation, and a clean driving record
• Maintains an on-call status for emergency problems
• Must be able to lift 50lbs, work in lifts and bucket trucks, operate forklifts and tractors and other equipment as needed
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions
• Must pass criminal and drug background checks
