Must be able to read basic operating instructions.2. Demonstrate aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.3. Some heavy lifting may be required (up to 75 lbs.)4. Any alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate oracceptable.REPORTS TO: Building and Grounds SupervisorJOB GOAL: To provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean and efficient placein which to learn, play and develop by keeping a clean environment inside andout.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Keeps building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways and play areas, neatand clean at all times.2. Assists in completing Grounds and Maintenance work orders in a timely manner.3. Shovels, and plows, sidewalks, driveways, parking areas and steps as appropriate.4. Assists in keeping sprinkler systems maintained as appropriate.5. Ensures all outside trash receptacles are emptied on a daily basis.6. Performs grounds keeping chores such as grass cutting, tree trimming andflowerbed tending to maintain the school grounds in a safe and attractivecondition.7. Assists in the summer preventative maintenance programs established for theschools. This type of work can be, but it not limited to, repainting, sanding,finishing, stripping, and waxing floors, minor repairs involving carpentry skills,etc.8. Other duties as assigned9.
