Work Schedule: Days with Weekend and Holiday Rotation

Hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm

Summary:

Maintain the exterior of the hospital, as well as Mercy Satellites, with emphasis on snow removal, shrubbery, flowers, hedges and grounds.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION:

High school graduate or GED preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Two (2) years experience as a groundskeeper required OR
Five (5) years of experience nursery/landscaping required
Valid NYS driver's license required and maintained.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:

Must know when to plant, seed and fertilize.
Must have knowledge of type and care of flowers and greenery.
Qualified candidates must be able to demonstrate safe operation of power equipment such as front-end loader, tractors, mowers, snow removal equipment, powered sprayers, etc.
Will be required to climb ladders
Must be hard working
Must be able to spend long hours outside
