Under the immediate supervision of a Groundskeeper Supervisor or higher-level officer, this is manual laboring work in preparing and maintaining a public recreational area.
An employee in this class maintains the recreational area in acceptable condition at all times. Work involves such maintenance activities as cutting grass and brush, cleaning the area, and erecting and maintaining fences. An employee also marks court boundaries under varying degrees of supervision, depending upon the technical nature of the given court or field in question. Some guidance is exercised over the public in obtaining adherence to rules and regulations governing attire and conduct of others using the area. Job Type: Classified
