Phoenix College is seeking a Groundskeeper Senior within the facilities department. This individual must have the ability to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems and related components. This position assists with construction and landscaping activities for the maintenance of grounds, garden areas and public outdoor spaces as needed. Performs a full range of grounds and landscape maintenance tasks; Lead direction and training for completing work assignments as needed.
Essential Functions
55% - Performs maintenance, repairs and installation of irrigation systems: irrigation clocks, valves, lines, sprinklers and drip systems.
25% - Performs general grounds maintenance work including but not limited to sweeping, raking, mowing, watering, trimming, pruning, planting and transplanting, cultivating, and pressure-washing.
10% - Utilizes computer/tablet for water management, inspections, and testing in the online commercial irrigation system.
10% - Operates and maintains all grounds equipment and vehicles; Performs related duties as assigned.
