University Groundskeeper 
Pay: $16.25/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift, Full-time
Job Type: Temporary with the opportunity to go temp-to-hire
Environment: Outdoor, campus grounds 
Penmac Staffing is hiring a University Groundskeeper to support a local client in maintaining the appearance, safety, and cleanliness of a college campus. This is an active, hands-on role that is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in keeping spaces neat and well-maintained. The position starts as a temporary job with the opportunity to become long-term and be hired on by the client. 
Requirements for the University Groundskeeper

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Comfortable performing physical labor including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Able to follow instructions and work independently or with a team
• Previous landscaping, grounds, or general labor experience preferred but not required
• Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check and drug screen

University Groundskeeper Responsibilities

• Mow, trim, edge, and maintain lawns and landscaped areas
• Plant, water, weed, and care for flower beds, shrubs, and green spaces
• Pick up litter and maintain sidewalks, parking lots, and common outdoor areas
• Assist with trash collection and general cleanup tasks
• Operate basic landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers
• Perform light maintenance and general labor tasks as assigned
• Support seasonal needs including leaf removal, snow/ice removal, and storm cleanup
• Follow all safety procedures and perform basic equipment care
