PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 1 2 3 4 5 6 TYPICAL DUTIES: Operates a variety of equipment (tractor, mowers, snow blowers, trucks, etc.) necessary in the performance of maintaining the grounds and lands owned by the Van Buren Public School District. Seed, fertilize, mow, trim, edge and irrigate the grassy areas of all school property, developing and nurturing grass and sod growth to beautify school sites. lnstall, maintain, repair and replace playground equipment as well as maintaining playground areas. Reconstruct, repair, maintain, and install fencing as needed and directed. Fully maintain all athletic fields owned by the school district, in accordance with item 2 above. Drive the necessary vehicles to transport equipment from place to place and operate the necessary grounds equipment to complete the assigned tasks. Operate snow plows and remove snow from parking lots, walkways, steps and entrances of all school buildings. Assist with a variety of maintenance duties as the seasons and need dictate. Optional CDL (Commercial Ddver's License) license. Performs other related work as assigned. WORKING HOURS: Forty (40) hours per week, fifty-two weeks per year less earned, approved and arranged paid vacation time Eight (8) hours per day, as scheduled, plus approved overtime.
