Groundsman

Duties include assisting with the clearing and removal of trees along electrical power lines and right-of-ways. A Bucket Operator operates an aerial lift device (bucket truck) to reach branches interfering with electric lines **Given the dangerous nature of the work required, employees must be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time**

Essential Functions:

• Removes branches and tree material.
• Operates bucket near energized lines.
• Cleans up and disposes of all debris.
• Operates and services equipment, such as gasoline, hydraulic tools, power saws, power winches, bucket, chipper, and sprayers.
• Uses hand-tools, such as axes, hand-lines, saws, block and tackle, pruners, etc.
• Sprays brush and stumps, making proper and selective application of herbicides.
• Sets up barriers, warning signs, flags, etc. to protect employees and the public.
• Performs other related work, as assigned by supervisors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be able to wear necessary PPE.
• Experience - warehouse, laborer, tree service, general labor
• Must be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments.
• Must be able to lift, move and maneuver heavy weights of 10 pounds frequently, and weights of up to 50 pounds infrequently.
• Must be able to operate and service all required tools and equipment.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test.
• Must be able to pass criminal background check.
• 6 months of verifiable experience is preferred.
• A CDL License / Valid Driver's License is preferred.
