Groundsworker I - Facilities Management

Salary: $25.17/hour

Returning Groundsworker: $20.14/hour (new hires)

Based on a 32-hour work week.

Location: Facilities Management

Position Status: Part-time Summer Temporary

Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday-Friday (Subject to change per CBA)

POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for the care of the lawns, trees, shrubs, and flowers throughout the university. Summer Temporary operations: May 11th - August 23rd, 2026.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cut grass, trim and edge around walks and flower beds, prune shrubs.
• Spray insecticide and fertilizers.
• Rake or sweep grass, leaves, litter, and remove same.
• Make minor repairs.
• Load and unload trucks, move furniture, and drive vehicles.
• Perform related work as needed.
• Completes other duties as assigned.
