Job Description

SAIC is seeking experienced certified Group Exercise instructors to lead group fitness classes. Instructors will inspire physical fitness for Intelligence Community Professionals at a customer site in Aurora, CO. Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. Preferred candidate will have experience teaching a variety of fitness levels and formats such as strength training, cycling, HIIT, yoga, Pilates. Candidates should note that this position is up to 1-5 hours a week.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to perform an aerobic activity for duration of a class which may include but not limited to standing, walking, climbing, balancing, running, crawling, and kneeling.
• Ability to perform exercises specific to the assigned class.
• Educates class participants on correct form and alternative moves during the fitness routine.
• Ensure the safety and enjoyment for all in fitness classes.
• Attentively listens to members, answer questions, and engage in conversation before and after classes.
• Cleans and organizes studio space before and after each Group Fitness class, record class metrics, and time worked.

Qualifications

Qualifications - External

• TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelors and three (3) years or more of related experience
• Masters and one year of related experience
• License
• Certification required
• CPR Certification
• Certification to teach 2 or more of the preferred exercise classes
• Nationally accredited certification required in personal training and/or group fitness
• Acceptable certification include National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM), American Council of Exercise (ACE), American Fitness and Aerobic Association (AFAA), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA)

Target salary range: Up to $40,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
