About the Role:

Responsible for the safe and effective instruction of group exercise classes for participants with varying fitness levels in a corporate setting. Enthusiastic, friendly and comfortable working as a team member. Oversees all group fitness classes that are on the quarterly schedule for LifeBridge Health and Fitness. Schedules all of classes in appropriate time slots, provides a balanced schedule to reflect the diverse fitness needs of the members and ensures that the group fitness instructors are providing safe, efficient classes through appropriate training and industry certification modes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plans the overall class structure and activities and clearly and effectively communicates class structure or activities.
  • Runs exercise programs safely keeping aware of participants strengths.
  • Watches for warning signs in participants and demonstrates exercise program modifications as needed.
  • Attends department meetings as scheduled.
  • Manages and oversees the Group Exercise Programs as well as Kids programs and Kidzone at LifeBridge Health and Fitness.
  • Collaborates with other staff members to modify any studio space issues with each quarterly schedule and updates them on fitness trends within the facility
  • Assesses class longevity monthly based on attendance as well as square footage of each studio (i.e., if a class attendance falls below 30%of room capacity).
  • Supervises Group Exercise personnel
  • Hires, trains and disciplines Group Exercise staff.
  • Provides certification and re-certification opportunities for staff.
  • Schedules classes and instructors based on fitness needs of members.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience
  • Certifications: CPR AED
