We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Group Facilitator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in men’s trauma care, a passion for mental health advocacy, and a commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered treatment.
The Group Facilitator t is responsible for conducting group clinical work at a direct client care level and works collaboratively with the team to ensure that each client’s treatment goals are met.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Facilitates structured, curriculum-based skills and psychoeducational groups addressing mental health, substance use, recovery, coping, emotional regulation, communication, and problem-solving.
Delivers approved group curricula while maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
Documents attendance, participation, topics addressed, and client response accurately and timely.
Communicates relevant client observations and concerns to the treatment team and collaborates with clinical staff as appropriate.
Maintains confidentiality, follows organizational policies and applicable regulations, and participates in required training, supervision, and staff meetings.

Ability to present behavioral-health concepts in an understandable and engaging manner
Ability to establish and maintain a safe and respectful group environment
Ability to recognize and appropriately report changes in client behavior or presentation
Ability to follow structured curricula and program protocols
Ability to manage group dynamics and redirect disruptive or inappropriate behavior
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate and patient demeanor when dealing with clients
High level of professionalism and adherence to ethical standards
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mental Health or comparable field is required
3+ years’ experience in Behavioral Health field
Certified Mental Health Technician (CMHT)or comparable behavioral-health certification preferred; certification may be required based on assigned program responsibilities and organizational policy.
Experience in leadership with Substance Abuse Treatment and Rehabilitation models are preferred
2+ years facilitating groups in a mental health/substance use setting is required
Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities is required.
Experience with Sunwave EMR is preferred.
Any other criteria required by the Governing Body.
