Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Group Leader- 3rd Shift.

The hourly rate for this position is $23.77 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 11:00 pm through 7:00 am.

What you'll do:

The Group Leader - Capacitor Assembler provides guidance and direction to the team and team leads to ensure compliance with Safety, Quality, and Production expectations. Performs direct labor within the assigned area, including assembly, fabrication, or support functions, and works closely with Operators, the Production Supervisor, and Plant Staff to maintain efficient production flow. Maintains a safe work environment by preventing on-the-job injuries and promptly reporting unsafe acts, conditions, and incidents to supervision.

  • Assist in planning and directing manufacturing activities to meet production schedules, while supporting Operations in responding to changes, material shortages, and varying manpower needs.
  • Provide training, instruction, and ongoing production guidance; schedule and coordinate employee reviews of standard work and method sheets, including updates in collaboration with supervision, OpEx, or management.
  • Promote continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Lean practices, and maintain high quality standards while ensuring adherence to EQS requirements in products and processes.
  • Lead daily Tier 1 meetings to communicate goals and production results; maintain visual boards with up-to-date metrics and variances.
  • Guide employees to ensure compliance with 5S+ standards at the start and end of each shift.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment performing complex assembly, wiring, fitting, and modification tasks.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience using precision measuring instruments.
  • At least 1 year of experience reading and interpreting wiring schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Strong computer proficiency, with the ability to quickly learn and work within SAP.
  • Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the Greenwood, SC facility (Emerald Road), as relocation assistance is not available.
