Overview

The Group Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for developing, administering, and continuously improving robust quality assurance policies and procedures for Vestis Supply Chain including its Customer Contact Center. This role is essential in ensuring that Vestis Supply Chain is providing consistent customer service and performance on behalf of both Vestis' external and internal customers. The Manager's monitoring and performance tracking tools must provide a solid foundation for a wide span of contacts and transitions. The Group Quality Assurance Manager will have responsibility for a team of Quality Assurance Manager's and supports business partners throughout Vestis and Vestis Cleanroom Services.

Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Develops and maintains strong Quality Assurance Program policies and procedures;
  • Develops and enforces standard operating procedures to ensure full compliance to industry, ISO, and Federal regulation and standards;
  • Process and environmental monitoring;
  • Uses call quality monitoring tools to compile and track performance at team and individual level;
  • Ensures Quality Assurance Program is enforced;
  • Investigates quality issues and recommends changes and/or improvements is needed;
  • Documents quality assurance activities;
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with customers, suppliers, colleagues and management;
  • Develops expertise in Vestis proprietary systems;
  • Develops, analyzes and publishes key metrics (daily, weekly, monthly, annually);
  • Develops and enforces policies and procedures;
  • Maintains documentation for ISO compliance;
  • Direct influence on meeting customer requirements;
  • Thorough knowledge of internal audits to meet ISO standards, document control, customer audit, complaint investigation, and continuous improvement;
  • Ability to supervise QA Technicians;
  • Approves procedures and forms;
  • Initiates and approves validation projects;
  • Approves new vendors and/or new products;
  • Administers the ISO certification;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Participates in Industry Regulator and Standards groups.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Competency with the MS Office suite and the ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and act;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, interpersonal, organization, and problem solving skills;
  • Strong customer centric mentality;
  • Excellent knowledge of quality assurance tools, concepts and methodologies;
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the organization; strong verbal and written communication;
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills;
  • Strong problem solving, project management, and analytical skills;
  • Strong relationship-building skills;
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office Applications, Minitab statistical software, Visio;
  • Familiarity with GTS and barcode data systems
  • Preferred: Thorough knowledge of internal audits to meet ISO standards, document control, customer audit, complaint investigation, and continuous improvement;
  • Ability to multiple QA Managers and/or QA Supervisors

Experience

2+ years related experience of quality assurance/quality control experience and must possess ISO 9001 experience.

Education

Bachelors degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related field required; Masters degree preferred

License Requirements / Certifications

Process Improvement certification a plus
