    Description

    Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Seaway Hotel Corporation. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel's employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

    Position Summary

    We are seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented Sales Manager to join our resort hotel's sales team. This individual contributor will be responsible for generating new group and corporate business throughout the Florida Corporate and Southeast territories while maintaining and growing existing client relationships. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in hotel sales, excellent relationship-building skills, and a consultative approach to business development. Experience selling luxury or resort hotels is preferred, and Marriott experience is a plus.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals.

    • Prospect, solicit, and secure new group and corporate business within assigned territories.

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, meeting planners, corporate clients, third-party planners, and industry partners.

    • Conduct regular sales calls, virtual meetings, site visits, and client presentations to generate new business opportunities.

    • Attend trade shows, conventions, industry events, and in-market sales missions to cultivate new business and strengthen existing relationships.

    • Negotiate contracts and pricing while maximizing revenue and ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.

    • Collaborate with Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations teams to develop strategies that increase market share and hotel profitability.

    • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customers' needs to identify new business opportunities.

    • Maintain accurate sales activity, account information, and forecasts using CRM and sales management systems.

    • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, production analyses, and account action plans.

    • Represent the resort with professionalism while delivering exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

    • Minimum of 4 years of progressive hotel sales experience, with an emphasis on group and corporate business.

    • Resort hotel sales experience strongly preferred.

    • Marriott sales experience is a plus.

    • Strong knowledge of the Florida corporate market and Southeast regional territory.

    • Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales goals and revenue objectives.

    • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

    • Strong analytical abilities with experience using data to develop sales strategies.

    • Proficiency with CRM platforms, hotel sales systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

    • Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory and attend industry events.

    • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
