Overview:

Make your mark on Park City...

Outbound Park City is looking for an exceptional Group Sales Manager to join our team for our highly anticipated early 2027 Grand Opening. We’re building more than a hotel—we’re creating a hub for the modern adventurer. If you have a gift for forging authentic relationships and want to be a primary architect of our group business success in this iconic mountain town, pull up a chair. Your journey starts here.

The Group Sales Manager is responsible for maximizing group revenue for the hotel by proactively identifying, soliciting, and securing new group business opportunities. This role involves managing the entire sales cycle from lead generation and prospecting to contract negotiation, event planning alignment, and post-event follow-up. The Group Sales Manager will build and maintain strong relationships with clients, collaborate effectively with internal hotel departments, and contribute to the overall sales strategy to achieve and exceed pre-opening and operational revenue goals.

Perks of the Journey include:

  • Competitive salary and professional sales incentive plan
  • Team member free room night program for stays within the CoralTree portfolio
  • Group medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits
  • Participation in a pre-tax flexible benefit plan for healthcare and dependent care reimbursement
  • An employee assistance program (EAP)
  • Paid time off / sick time
  • Participation in a 401(k) plan with a company match
Responsibilities:

Key Reponsibilities

  • Proactive Procurement: Identify, solicit, and secure group business opportunities across deployed market segments, ensuring Outbound Park City exceeds its financial pre-opening and operational targets.
  • Relationship Architect: Cultivate and nurture robust, long-term relationships with key group accounts, travel partners, and corporate clients through regular communication, site visits, and personalized service.
  • Tailored Proposals & Contracts: Prepare and present custom proposals and contracts that align with client requirements while optimizing hotel revenue streams.
  • Collaborative Execution: Work seamlessly with internal departments (catering, conference services, operations, and leadership) to ensure unified strategies and exceptional, adventurous guest experiences.
  • Data & Pipeline Management: Maintain highly accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline updates within the CRM system (Delphi).
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and economic shifts to identify new business opportunities and strategically adjust sales approaches.
  • Brand Advocacy: Act as a passionate ambassador, representing Outbound Park City at trade shows, networking events, and regional or national industry functions.
  • Performance Metrics: Provide regular sales performance updates, analytics, and tactical forecasting insights to the Director of Sales.

Qualifications:

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess

  • Sales Expertise: Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in hotel group sales or event sales, preferably within a full-service or boutique lifestyle hotel setting.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in achieving or exceeding established sales and revenue targets, with strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Educational Background: A college degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Hospitality Management, or a closely related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of substantial professional experience.
  • Technological Proficiency: Proficient in computer and software applications, with a preferred working knowledge of Delphi CRM.
  • Local Insight: Familiarity with or prior experience in the local Park City or regional Utah market is a distinct advantage.
  • Dynamic Attributes: Enthusiastic, creative, and adaptable nature with an ability to manage multiple client priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Communication & Perception: Regularly required to communicate verbally, hear, and visually perceive information.
  • Prolonged Sitting: Ability to sit or remain stationary for 90% or more of an 8-hour work shift.
  • Lifting & Movement: Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 25 lbs.
  • Visual Acuity: Possess various visual abilities, including close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
  • Technological Use: Proficiency in using a computer, keyboarding, and answering phones.
  • Work Environment: Work is performed in a typically low-noise, indoor office environment.
  • Schedule: Ability to shift schedule based on the operational needs of the hotel, client timelines, and event peaks.
  • Travel: Requires a flexible schedule for travel to represent Outbound Park City at regional and national client meetings, trade shows, and hospitality conferences.

Join us in creating unforgettable experiences for our guests, building vibrant communities, and shaping the future of travel and hospitality.
