Basic Job Functions:

The Group Technology Services Manager leads a high-performing technology services organization with accountability for safety, people leadership, service reliability, and scalable technology outcomes. This role partners closely with Product Innovation, Operations Innovation, and business leadership to deliver reliable, secure, and forward-looking technology services that support NBG's growth and innovation strategy.

Basic Functions:
  • Safety Leadership: Champion Nucor's safety culture by leading by example, reinforcing safe work practices, and integrating safety considerations into daily operations and planning.
  • Technology Services Leadership: Lead the delivery, reliability, and continuous improvement of NBG's technology services, platforms, and support processes to ensure stable, secure, and scalable solutions.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback while overseeing training, professional development, and teammate growth to build a strong, engaged and accountable technology team.
  • Performance & People Management: Address performance concerns, support teammate success, and maintain accountability across the organization to ensure consistent service delivery and results.
  • Resource Planning & Staffing: Assess workload and capacity, identify staffing and contractor needs, and participate in hiring and resource planning to meet operational and project demands.
  • Innovation Enablement & Technology Advancement: Partner with Product and Operations Innovation leadership to ensure new tools, platforms, and capabilities transition smoothly into reliable, supportable services. Evaluate and apply emerging technologies, including AI and automation, to improve safety, quality, productivity, and user experience.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Alignment: Maintain proactive, transparent communication with leadership, internal teams, and stakeholders, providing timely updates on priorities, risks, and progress.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Source and oversee vendors and contractors, manage performance expectations, and communicate priorities, risks, and progress with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Metrics & Continuous Improvement: Establish, maintain, and publish service and performance metrics. Identify trends, drive improvement initiatives, and strengthen service reliability and effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable
  • Three or more years of experience leading successful teams, including overseeing direct reports.
  • Five or more years of experience in technology services, systems support, software platforms, or related IT roles.
  • Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, now and in the future. Nucor is unable to provide sponsorship for this role.
