OVERVIEW JOB TITLE: GSPP Grad Student Org President & Vice PresidentLOCATION: PAY RATE: $19/hrHOURS: 5-10 hours/week, flexible and hybrid Job Summary The GSPP is seeking applications for two graduate assistants to support the Graduate Student Organization (GSO) for the 2026-2027 academic year. The GSO is a student-led organization dedicated to enhancing the experiences and development of graduate psychology students, unifying GSPP graduate students at all levels, advancing students' professional and personal interests, and promoting graduate student participation in university and community affairs. These two Graduate Assistants would act as President and Vice President of the GSO for the academic year. Job Duties: Support programming and events including a Fall Social, Spring Social, quarterly meetings, and various panels Collaborate on workshops and community-building initiatives Select and work with a board of students to create the GSO Board Support the GSO Board to create and distribute a monthly newsletter Attend department recruitment events such as Orientation and Admitted Student Days Develop and host an apparel sale for students Collaborate with other GSPP student organizations to support student needs Work with Program Coordinator on various administrative tasks to help advance student experience President Specific Duties: Conduct organizational business Create agendas and facilitate meetings Recruit new members Oversee emails to/from the GSO Work with the department to maintain a budget Vice President Specific Duties: Facilitate organization of annual Practicum Panel Track ideas for potential future initiatives and projects Oversee and manage GSO initiatives and help to organize events throughout the year Provide support to GSO board members as needed Are you currently enrolled in the Graduate School of Professional Psychology? QUALIFICATIONS Currently enrolled in a graduate program in the Graduate School of Professional Psychology (MA or PsyD) at the University of St. Thomas Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills Ability to work collaboratively with students and staff Detail-oriented Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks * Timely, reliable, and self-driven ELIGIBILITY To be eligible for student employment, St. Thomas students must be degree seeking at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.
