GSRP Classroom Aide (Pre-Kindergarten) - two position available

Program: Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP)

School Year: 2026-2027

Location: Lakeview School District

Position Overview:

Lakeview School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic GSRP Classroom Aide to support the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP), Michigan's state-funded and nationally recognized Pre-Kindergarten program for 4-year-olds. The Classroom Aide will assist the Lead and Associate Teachers in preparing children for kindergarten and beyond by helping create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support classroom routines and assist with daily activities, meals, and transitions.
• Follow licensing, grant, and center guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all children.
• Assist with classroom setup, organization, and maintaining a clean learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with children and support developmentally appropriate learning activities.
• Engage with children during indoor and outdoor play and classroom experiences.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and administration to support classroom success.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
• Valid CPR and First Aid certifications preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Mandated Reporter & Pathogens training preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.

Additional Requirements:

• Dependability, positive attitude, and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to participate in physical activities with young children indoors and outdoors.
• Ability to pass all state-required criminal history and comprehensive childcare background checks.
