Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Full-Time GSRP Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction and support to preschool children, ages 4–5, in partnership with the Michigan Great Start Readiness Program. The ideal candidate creates engaging experiences that strengthen social, emotional, cognitive, and language skills while meeting GSRP program standards.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, research-based early learning curriculum aligned with Michigan’s Early Childhood Standards.
Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
Observe, assess, and document student progress using required GSRP tools and assessments.
Communicate regularly and effectively with families and caregivers.
Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration.
Attend required professional development and GSRP mentor meetings.
Maintain accurate records, lesson plans, and compliance documentation.
Promote positive behavior guidance and classroom management strategies.
Qualifications
Required: Valid Michigan teaching certificate with Early Childhood endorsement (ECSE, ECE, or equivalent as required by GSRP)
Experience teaching preschool-aged children
Knowledge of early childhood development, standards, and assessments
Ability to plan lessons that are differentiated and developmentally appropriate
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred: Previous GSRP experience
