SPX Technologies advances HVAC and Detection & Measurement solutions that support safer, more efficient, and sustainable communities. Within our Detection & Measurement platform, Radiodetection creates equipment and software—precision and magnetic locators plus ground-penetrating radar—that utilities rely on to protect underground networks and save lives. Through our RiSE framework, we Reach, Identify, Strengthen, and Engage our people so they can thrive.

  • Clean, safe finishes using grinders, sanders, or saws to remove rough areas.
  • Pursue growth through training with the potential to test for ASME certification.

Qualifications

Must have

  • 1–3 months of relevant experience and/or formal training.
  • Proficiency reading a tape measure.
  • Ability to interpret and follow engineering drawings.
  • Working knowledge of TIG, MIG, and spot welding tools and techniques.

Nice to have

  • Certifications in TIG, MIG, and stick welding.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Physical requirements and conditions

  • Occasional sitting, climbing/balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Lift/move up to 10 lbs on a regular basis and up to 25 lbs on occasion.
  • Vision capabilities: close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Occasional exposure to moving mechanical components, fumes/airborne particles, electrical shock risk, and vibration.
  • Noise levels are typically very loud.
