The Senior GTS Project Manager, Change Management is responsible for the successful delivery of small to large scale complex GTS projects at TAIT. The Sr. GTS Project Manager, Change Management creates and manages systems for tracking projects and associated deliverables, collects data, ensures results, and works closely with each project team to manage various programmatic and project processes while supporting organizational readiness and user adoption.
The scope of work involves all project management activities associated with the lifecycle of a project, including discovery, initiating, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling, and closing phases. The position requires an understanding of business operations, technical systems, waterfall and agile project management methodologies, and structured change management practices to assess impacts, prepare stakeholders, and support adoption of new processes and technologies.
The Sr. GTS Project Manager, Change Management is responsible for communicating and collaborating with Stakeholders, GTS, Key Users, and external vendors to facilitate and ensure successful implementations, enhancements, and upgrades. This position will closely partner with all GTS functions and program leaders to develop and oversee project costs, deliverables, timelines, and resources to ensure budget, schedule, and quality requirements are met, while also driving stakeholder engagement, communication planning, training coordination, and change readiness activities that support smooth transitions and sustained adoption.
The position requires leadership, facilitation, and change management skills to influence and guide cross-functional teams throughout all aspects of assigned projects. The Sr. GTS Project Manager, Change Management leads change impacts and stakeholder alignment, supports communication and training efforts, helps address resistance and adoption risks, and provides task management and tracking of resources assigned to coordinate implementations and develop and maintain the project schedule. In addition, this role assists with supporting the GTS Project Management Office goals and deliverables for the department, including mentorship for PM colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures quality and timeliness of project results.
- Assesses organizational readiness, proactively promotes stakeholder engagement, and delivers communication planning.
- Establishes and monitors project requirements, priorities, and deadlines from inception to completion.
- Develops and executes user adoption strategies, including training reinforcement and measurement of adoption outcomes.
- Facilitates the development and implementation of detailed reports to keep key stakeholders up to date on progress, issues, and outcomes.
- Oversees and provides hands-on project management for GTS projects including all phases of project life cycle, software development life cycle (SDLC), and service & technology delivery under limited direction.
Expectations:
- Defines change management standards and promotes group adoption.
- Manage and facilitate tasks on concurrent projects, while remaining flexible with changing priorities, timeframes, and scope of services.
- Ability to engage professionally with all levels of management, and the ability to work with multiple personality types to facilitate collaboration between GTS and Business units.
- Strategically identify and work resolution of issues as they arise with minimal direction or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
- Acts as a team lead for various Project Management Office initiatives.
- Assists Project Management Office with the development of standards and templates.
- Analyze, documents, and shares lessons learned with other project managers.
- Explore and implement a variety of best practices and standardized processes to ensure operational efficiency and scalability.
- Demonstrate professional communication skills when interacting on behalf of GTS.
- Create a collaborative work environment with matrix teams.
- Encourages project team members to act and be accountable for their assigned work.
- Possesses effective knowledge of project management applications (Visio/LucidChart and Microsoft Office Suite).
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Management, Business Administration, or Information Technology or equivalent work experience
- 12 + years of experience managing enterprise projects or change management activities
- Experience managing concurrent projects is preferred
- Proven track record obtaining PMI/Agile/Scrum certifications, PMP certification preferred
