Is a Chicago-based nonprofit that removes barriers to employment by eliminating biases that disqualify candidates unnecessarily. Working with local and global companies, Skills brings opportunities to neighborhoods and municipalities throughout the Chicagoland area. To be eligible for Skills for Chicago services, candidates must reside in Illinois or Indiana, be authorized to work in the United States, and be either unemployed or underemployed.

Navy Pier

Navy Pier is a nonprofit Chicago landmark and one of the Midwest’s most visited destinations, welcoming more than nine million guests each year. Stretching along Lake Michigan, the 50-acre destination features parks, restaurants, attractions, retail, cruises, and event spaces while celebrating Chicago’s culture and vitality. Since becoming a nonprofit in 2011, Navy Pier has focused on long-term sustainability and transforming the historic landmark into a vibrant, environmentally responsible public space.

Job Highlights

• Welcome and assist guests with a friendly, positive attitude
• Share information and ensure safe, enjoyable guest experiences
• Support event operations including attractions, activities, and line management
• Direct guests during downtime or emergencies as needed
• Collaborate with team members across Winter Wonder Fest and Navy Pier

Candidate Profile

• Must be available to work on-site, in-person at Navy Pier, at least 15-20 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Customer service or guest experience background
• Comfortable standing for long periods in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Additional Information

• Wintrust Winter WonderFest operates from November 27, 2026 to January 3, 2027. Must be available to attend paid orientation and training prior to event start date.
