GUEST EXPERIENCE TEAM LEAD

As a Guest Experience Team Lead (GETL) at Impact Kitchen you set the hospitality standard high and are passionate to ensure guests enjoy their experience. You create positive interactions at all moments in the guests journey and create a sense of community while taking orders,  serving or siding. You partner with your Culinary Experience counterparts on the team ensuring great teamwork. You are an integral team member as you prepare a variety of beverages to high standards and with a quick turn around. 

As an Impact Kitchen GETL you are an expert in your niche and are the teams go-to resource when it comes to all things guest experience. You are a trainer and facilitate coaching and knowledge transfer instinctually. You aim to see your team succeed and support management with the successful operation of the business. This role has keys to our restaurant and leads by example with every action. The natural progression from this role is to Restaurant Assistant Manager.

COMPENSATION

Guest Experience Team Leads earn $19/hour + tips ($4-$7/hour on average) paid time off for Full Time staff, and receive a substantial discount on Impact Kitchen products and have flexible scheduling to accommodate a healthy balanced lifestyle.

TEAM & DEPARTMENT

Guest Experience Team Leaders make an impact everyday through leading our front-of-house operations and coaching and training our Guest Experience Team Members. In this role you will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from multiple levels of the organization. The Guest Experience Team Lead reports to the  Assistant Manager and General Manager of each Restaurant.  

The first entry point into our leadership pipeline, the Guest Experience Team Lead is the perfect knowledge incubator and team coach. Those that excel in their capacity at a GETL have the opportunity to succeed to an Assistant Manager role where they build on their ability to train and develop top talent for the organization while also learning more about running a successful restaurant.  

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Leading and training the Guest Experience Team.
• Ensuring a best-in-class experience for new hires on their first day and during training. 
• Ensuring all beverages are prepared in a timely manner according to menu and customer specifications.  Items include: Coffee and espresso based beverages with superior latte art, tonics, tea, and wellness drinks.
• Able to execute and train on all Front of House positions in order to support a smooth service
• Dialing espresso grinders daily and continually monitoring espresso quality
• Accurately inputting orders through POS system to ensure efficient communication with service line, coffee bar and smoothie bar
• Setting up and closing down the barista and smoothie stations at the start and end of each shift while maintaining cleanliness and sanitization of workspace and bar equipment.
• Conduct above and beyond training for relevant team members, ensuring a top-tier experience.
• Supporting other restaurant tasks and teammates as required

SKILLS

• Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate effectively, respectfully and work well with others in a team based setting
• Interest in coaching and developing others
• Ability to execute and thrive in a fast-paced environment 
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask when required
• Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time
• Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends as business requires
• A commitment of at least 5 days per week and 30-40 hours per week is required.
• General understanding of food safety and public health practices
• 1 - 5 years of team leadership experience. 
• NY FOOD HANDLERS CERTIFICATE IS REQUIRED
• Preferred but not required: 1 year Barista experience

Como Líder del Equipo de Experiencia del Cliente (GETL) en Impact Kitchen, estableces altos estándares de hospitalidad y te apasiona asegurar que los clientes disfruten su experiencia. COMPENSACIÓN
Los Líderes del Equipo de Experiencia del Cliente ganan $19 por hora + propinas ($4–$7 por hora en promedio), cuentan con tiempo libre remunerado para empleados de tiempo completo, reciben un descuento significativo en productos de Impact Kitchen y tienen horarios flexibles que apoyan un estilo de vida saludable y equilibrado.

EQUIPO Y DEPARTAMENTO

Los Líderes del Equipo de Experiencia del Cliente generan impacto cada día liderando las operaciones de atención al cliente (front-of-house), así como capacitando y desarrollando a los miembros del equipo. En este rol, tendrás la oportunidad de colaborar con colegas de distintos niveles dentro de la organización.

El Líder del Equipo de Experiencia del Cliente reporta al Asistente de Gerente y al Gerente General de cada restaurante.

Este puesto es el primer paso dentro de nuestra línea de liderazgo y es un excelente espacio para desarrollar conocimientos y habilidades de coaching. Aquellos que destaquen como GETL tendrán la oportunidad de avanzar a un puesto de Asistente de Gerente, donde continuarán desarrollando talento y aprendiendo más sobre la operación de un restaurante exitoso.

RESPONSABILIDADES PRINCIPALES

• Liderar y capacitar al equipo de Experiencia del Cliente
• Garantizar una experiencia de clase mundial para nuevas contrataciones desde su primer día y durante su formación
• Asegurar que todas las bebidas se preparen de manera oportuna según el menú y las especificaciones del cliente
  (incluye café, bebidas a base de espresso con latte art, tónicos, té y bebidas funcionales)
• Ejecutar y capacitar en todas las posiciones de front-of-house para asegurar un servicio fluido
• Calibrar molinos de espresso diariamente y monitorear continuamente la calidad del café
• Ingresar pedidos con precisión en el sistema POS para asegurar una comunicación eficiente con cocina y estaciones de bebidas
• Preparar y cerrar estaciones de barista y smoothies al inicio y final de cada turno, manteniendo limpieza y sanitización
• Brindar capacitación avanzada a los miembros del equipo para asegurar una experiencia de alto nivel
• Apoyar en otras tareas del restaurante según sea necesario

HABILIDADES

• Excelentes habilidades de comunicación y trabajo en equipo
• Interés en capacitar y desarrollar a otros
• Capacidad para desempeñarse y sobresalir en entornos de ritmo rápido
• Excelentes habilidades de organización y gestión del tiempo, con capacidad de multitarea
• Capacidad para permanecer de pie por períodos prolongados
• Disponibilidad para trabajar días, noches y fines de semana según las necesidades del negocio
• Compromiso de al menos 5 días por semana y entre 30–40 horas semanales
• Conocimiento general de seguridad alimentaria y salud pública
• 1 a 5 años de experiencia liderando equipos

Requerido: Certificación de Manipulador de Alimentos
Preferido (no obligatorio): 1 año de experiencia como barista
