Job Title: Guest Room Inspector
Pay Rate: $21/hr - $24/hr (Depending On Experience)
Location: AC Hotel Pasadena, CA

Position Overview
The Company operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting and ending times, and hours worked in a week. 
The Guest Room Inspector is responsible for inspecting the guestrooms and public areas to ensure that they meet standards of cleanliness, communicating needs or errors to Housekeeping staff.   Inspect guestrooms for maintenance repairs. Comply with all guest service basics such as uniforms, name tags and proper guest greeting. Knowledgeable on hotel facilities and services to assist guests as appropriate.  Ensures all communication containing Company, hotel, brand and guest information is consistent with privacy policies, practices and regulations.  Impresses guests with quality and timely service in a pleasant and friendly manner.

Specific Job Requirements

• Bathrooms: Check for mold, clean grout lines, disinfect all touch points, and verify fresh towel counts
• Bedrooms: Ensure linens are spotless and wrinkle-free, pillows are fluffed, and under-bed areas are free of trash
• Electronics & Amenities: Test the TV remote, air conditioner, and lights, while restocking coffee makers and toiletries
• Room Inspections: Check 35 to 40 rooms daily for cleanliness, correct item placement, and working equipment.
• System Updates: Change room status to "clean and vacant" in the property management software so the front desk can assign keys 

Essential Functions

• Communicate with alternate shift housekeepers of rooms to be cleaned and special requests.
• Inspects guestrooms and public areas to ensure that they meet standards of cleanliness.
• Maintain work area neat and organized.
• Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
• Report room status to Front Desk.
• Communicate needs or errors to Housekeeping staff.
• Follow through on guest complaints and requests regarding room services and ensure the appropriate follow-up with guests
• Inspect guestrooms for maintenance repairs.
• Attend all mandatory meetings & assist in training new employees.
• Check housekeeping carts for proper supplies.
• Complete all other duties as assigned by supervisor to include cross training.
• Helps Housekeeping team members when needed and also assist in setting up a VIP room.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other Team Members.
• Minimum 6 months previous housekeeping experience required.
• Experienced in scheduling and budgeting department according to occupancy.
• Read, write and speak English fluently.
