Job Details:
The Guest Service Team Member serves as a welcoming and critical first point of contact for patients, families, visitors, and staff at Dayton Children's. This role is responsible for providing a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment by screening and badging individuals entering the facility, offering clear directions and assistance, and ensuring a positive experience throughout each visit. Guest Service Team Members exemplify the organization's core values of compassion, collaboration, innovation, and safety.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of two (2) of customer service experience required; healthcare, hospitality, or security experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
Ability to interact compassionately and professionally with patients, families, and staff.
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to follow policies, procedures, and safety protocols consistently.
Demonstrated ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress or emotionally sensitive situations.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn hospital systems.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Reliable attendance and punctuality required.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred 3-5 years of Customer Service experience
Experience in a hospital, healthcare, or pediatric environment.
Prior experience with visitor management or access control systems.
Customer service experience in a fast-paced, public-facing role.
