Guest Services/Hospitality Associate - Hayward, CA
$17/hr + Tips ($25–$27/hr avg total compensation)

Garden of Eden is hiring Guest Services / Hospitality Associates for our Hayward location. This is a customer-facing role focused on check-in, intake, and delivering a welcoming, compliant retail experience in a fast-paced cannabis environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Greet and check in customers, verifying identification and required documentation
• Provide a welcoming, professional, and efficient front-of-house experience
• Manage guest flow, wait times, and lobby organization during high-volume periods
• Educate customers on store policies, promotions, and general product information
• Maintain accurate customer records and complete intake processes
• Support compliance by following all cannabis regulations and company procedures
• Communicate with sales floor and management to coordinate customer experience
• Assist with basic administrative and front desk tasks as needed
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the lobby area
• Handle customer questions, concerns, or escalations with professionalism

Requirements:

• Must be 21+ years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to pass background check and meet all state cannabis employment requirements
• Open and flexible availability (weekends, mornings, evenings, holidays)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable in fast-paced, high-volume environments
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn POS/intake systems
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs

Preferred:

• 1+ year customer service, hospitality, or front desk experience
• Experience in cannabis or other regulated retail environments
• Familiarity with POS or customer intake systems
• Familiarity with Google Workspace, Apple iOS and Google Android operating systems
• Multilingual skills
