Guest Services, Part-Time

Under the supervision of the General Manager and Manager on Duty, performs a variety of duties with primary focus on excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Required to attend all training sessions and staff meetings
• Practices excellent customer service
• Assists customers with equipment
• Executes policies and procedures professionally and accurately
• Communicates clearly and professionally with staff and patrons
• Ability to give proper directions and knowledge of local area
• Assists customers with recreation equipment
• Accurately handles cash and register transactions
• Maintains a clean and safe facility
• Performs basic custodial duties 
• Assists managers with supervision of programs and activities
• Responsible for alerting managers to any unsafe or potentially hazardous ice conditions
• Required to be ready to work immediately at time of scheduled shift
• Responsible for completing all other tasks as assigned by supervisor

WORK ENVIRONMENT & CONDITIONS 

Work is performed in several settings:

• An office environment
• A recreational facility
• Working indoors and outdoors
• Some off-site promotion

This position can involve sitting, standing, walking, running, stooping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and ice skating.

MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED 

Standard office equipment that includes computers, fax and copy machines, telephones, and cash registers.  Maintenance and cleaning equipment that include vacuums, mops and any other equipment associated with use in a recreational facility.

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

• Must be a minimum of 16 years of age or older
• Customer service experience is preferred
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
