Position Overview

The Millstone Township School District is seeking a creative, student-centered School Counselor to serve students in grades Pre-K through 2. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to join a collaborative, caring community of educators dedicated to supporting the social, emotional, and academic success of every child.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey School Counselor Certificate (required)
• Master's Degree in School Counseling or related field
• Experience with Response to Intervention (RTI) and/or Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
• Knowledge of Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying (HIB) laws and procedures; experience serving as HIB Anti-Bullying Specialist (preferred)
• Experience with HIBster platform (preferred)
• Background in character education program implementation
• Ability to design and deliver engaging classroom lessons and targeted small group interventions

• A proactive approach to supporting student mental health and well-being
• Flexibility, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with early learners
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate approaches that foster a positive school climate and student engagement (e.g., Responsive Classroom practices).

Salary Range: $71,415 - $75,865*

Salary & Benefits: *Per negotiated contract based on years of experience & degrees earned
