is currently seeking a Guidance Navigation Control Engineer 2 for our client Northrop Grumman at the location Chandler, Arizona, United States Onsite.
Job Description
The Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) Engineer will design, develop, implement, verify, and test algorithms and simulation tools for missile guidance navigation and control systems, including during powered flight, coast phases, and staging events. Duties include working in multi-disciplinary teams to develop, verify, and validate a missile flight simulator and creating, maintaining Interface Control Documents, Requirement Specifications, and Description Documents.
Responsibilities
- Work in multi-disciplinary teams to develop, verify, and validate a missile flight simulator
- Create and maintain Interface Control Documents, Requirement Specifications, and Description Documents
- Review GNC workshare requirements
- Model hardware
- Attend international partner program meetings
- Apply expertise in missile guidance and autopilot algorithms within a high-performance computing environment
Skills and Experience
- Bachelors Degree in STEM
- 2 years of experience
- Masters and 1 year PhD and 0 years
- Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
- Proficiency in C, MATLAB, and Python toolchains
- Experience with high-performance computing
- Experience with missile guidance and autopilot algorithms
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Experience working on hypersonic missiles
- Preferred experience with AEGIS weapon system
- Preferred experience with IR discrimination and tracking
