Gutter Production Associate

Position Purpose:

The Gutter Production Associate at SRS Building Products plays a vital role in ensuring the precision and efficiency of metal forming processes to meet customer specifications and production deadlines. Key Responsibilities:

• Operate roll forming machinery with precision to produce metal products that meet the specific requirements detailed in work orders, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Monitor machine performance by consistently checking gauges, dials, and other indicators, swiftly identifying and resolving any operational issues to maintain continuous production flow.
• Utilize advanced mechanical skills to troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions efficiently, minimizing downtime and maintaining high levels of operational efficacy.
• Maintain and surpass production targets by adhering to strict project timelines for both on-site and off-site engagements, contributing to overall departmental productivity goals.
• Implement regular maintenance routines to guarantee the optimal performance of manufacturing machinery, thereby preventing production interruptions and extending machine longevity.
• Optimize material usage by strategically reducing non-chargeable waste, fostering a cost-effective production environment that ensures maximum material utilization.

Direct Manager Direct Reports:

The Gutter Production Associate reports directly to the Production Supervisor, who oversees daily operations within the gutter production unit. This role does not encompass any direct reports, emphasizing a focus on individual contributions to the team and production goals. The Gutter Production Associate is expected to collaborate with team members and align with the production objectives as set by management.

Travel Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Experience in sheet metal fabrication or installation preferred. 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred; training is available for entry-level candidates.
• Technical Proficiencies: Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine operating errors. Proficient knowledge of machine operations, including specifications necessary to maintain operational efficiency. Basic math skills essential for accurate inventory counting. Ability to read and interpret work orders and communicate effectively with team members.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in English for effective verbal and written communication. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is considered an advantage.
• Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record required. CDL certification is preferred; candidates may be offered the opportunity to complete a CDL through the company's in-house DOT-certified CDL Academy.
