The primary responsibility is to perform general upkeep of the gym and provide a clean environment for members.

Essential Functions:
Maintains a clean and safe environment for members.

• Cleans gym facility & equipment in accordance with the cleaning checklist.
• Ensures all areas are clean and litter free, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, sweeping, windows, mirrors, cleaning/wipe down of cardio and weight equipment, functional training area, and bathrooms.
• Picks up trash in all areas of the gym and dispose in dumpster.
• Restock and replace all consumable items (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, trash bags, etc.)
• Advises assistant anagers of needs to maintain facility: repairs needed, replacement of light bulbs, etc.
• Gather lost and found items from throughout the gym.

Minimum Requirements:
At least 6 month's work experience in a cleaning/janitorial position.

Job Type: Part-Time Position.  Approximately 5-7 hours per week (including weekends)  during morning/early afternoon hours between 8:00am - 2:00pm.  

Experience:

• Cleaning: 1 year (Preferred)

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able to follow written and oral directions and work independently.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills to relate well with others.
• Must have a basic understanding of chemicals used in housekeeping.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must have a friendly, positive attitude.
• Must be responsible and reliable.
• But be able to work independently
• Must provide references.

Requirements: All applicants must be able to bend, stoop, reach high and low and work at a constant pace, able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds, ability to communicate with manager. Applicants must be detail oriented. Janitorial, custodial or general cleaning experience preferred.
