The Position

The City of Maple Groves Gym Attendant will provide supervision of basketball activities in the gymnasium, maintain a safe and orderly environment, set up and taking down equipment as needed, and implement community center policies.

This is a temporary position working through end of February 2027.

Hours: Wednesday & Friday 2:00-6:15 PM, Saturday 12:00 -6:45 PM, & Sunday 11:30 AM - 4:15 PM

Responsibilities

  • Supervises participants by monitoring and responding to behaviors and emergencies.
  • Understand all community center gym schedules, policies, and procedures.
  • Responsible for checking admissions wristbands to the gymnasium.
  • Perform general cleaning and light maintenance in the gymnasium.

Knowledge of:

  • Community center gym schedules, policies, and procedures.

Ability to:

  • Ability to express rules and policies assertively.
  • Ability to communicate with the public in an orderly and professional manner.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of experience that would likely provide the required knowledge is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Minimum:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Ability to carry 40 pounds

Preferred:

  • First-aid and CPR Certification

Indoor basketball court. Increased noise with increased usage.
