Role Description The Gymnastics Instructor is a part-time, on-site role based at Cressman Dance Studio in Washington, NJ. This role involves planning and leading gymnastics classes for children and teens, focusing on foundational skills, strength, flexibility, and safe technique. The instructor demonstrates skills, supervises practice, and provides individualized feedback to help students progress at an appropriate pace. Daily responsibilities include following lesson plans, setting up equipment, maintaining a safe and clean training environment, and reinforcing studio policies. The Gymnastics Instructor also communicates regularly with parents and guardians, supports studio events or performances, and collaborates with other instructors to ensure a consistent, high-quality student experience.

• Background in Physical Education or Gymnastics, with the ability to teach proper technique and safety.

• Strong Teaching skills, including lesson planning, class management, and age-appropriate instruction.

• Effective Communication and Customer Service skills to interact with students, families, and colleagues.

• Experience working with children or youth in instructional or coaching settings.

• Commitment to maintaining a safe training environment, including adherence to safety guidelines and proper equipment use.

• Organizational skills for managing class schedules, attendance, and student progress.

• Relevant certifications in coaching, gymnastics instruction, or first aid/CPR are preferred.
