About the Practice

Wake Internal Medicine Consultants, Inc. (WIMC) is a well-established, independent, physician-owned multi-specialty group with over 85 years of history in Raleigh, North Carolina. Our organization includes 30+ physicians and 10+ advanced practice providers across multiple specialties, including Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Endocrinology, and Rheumatology.

Our gynecology team currently includes three GYN-only physicians, a urogynecologist, and a dedicated physician assistant. Due to continued growth and strong patient demand, we are seeking an additional gynecologist to join our team.

We offer a robust referral base and provide a comprehensive range of gynecologic services to women of all ages.

Position Highlights

• Full-time, GYN-only position (no obstetrics required)
• Established patient panel with immediate volume
• 4.5-day workweek supporting excellent work-life balance
• Minimal call responsibilities (practice-only call)
• Access to OR time at multiple nearby hospitals
• Opportunity for partnership after 1 year

Clinical Scope

Our physicians practice the full scope of gynecology, including both office-based and surgical care.

In-office procedures include:

• Diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy
• Endometrial ablation
• LEEP procedures
• Gynecologic biopsies

Our office features a fully equipped on-site surgical suite for minor procedures.

Surgical experience preferred in:

• Minimally invasive gynecologic surgery
• Laparoscopy
• Robotic-assisted procedures

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency
• Board-eligible or board-certified in OB/GYN
• Eligible for an unrestricted North Carolina medical license
• Strong skills in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
