Gynecologist Oncologist (Hospital Employed ) - Sarasota, FL

Sarasota Memorial First Physicians Group is a successful, multi-specialty group with 700+ physicians and Advanced Practice Providers and a 32-year history in the Sarasota community.

We are seeking to employ a BE/BCGynecologist Oncologist to join an award-winning hospital and employed physician group in Sarasota, Florida. We are located along the beautiful Gulf Coast of Florida between Tampa and Ft. Myers. 

The system's flagship 897-bed campus, Sarasota Memorial Hospital-Sarasota, has been consistently recognized as one of the nations best hospitals. A regional referral center providing the greatest depth and breadth of care to the community, the campus also includes state-of-the-art specialized centers of care, including the Brian D. Jellison Cancer Institute Oncology Tower, Milman-Kover Cancer Pavillion, Kolschowsky Research & Education Institute and  Cornell Behavioral Health Pavilion.

We are building hope for cancer patients by responding to the rising number of local cancer cases and the complexity of modern oncology care. The Sarasota Public Hospital Board supported the addition of three premier oncology facilities: a Radiation Oncology Center that opened in 2020, a 56-bedOncology Inpatient Tower that opened in 2021, and an Outpatient Cancer Pavilion that recently opened in June 2026. The seven-story Milman-Kover Cancer Pavillion includes a new breast health center, four (4) outpatient surgery suites, radiation oncology services, infusion services, diagnostic imaging and  supportive care services in addition to physician offices.

Sarasota Memorial's cancer care teams include cancer-certified nurses, therapists, social workers, navigators, researchers, genetic counselors, rehab therapists and others who collaborate to address the physical and emotional needs of each patient with cancer. 

Highlights of the Opportunity:

• The Gynecology Oncology office is located in the Milman-Kover Cancer Pavillion. The Pavilion is conveniently located on the main campus of Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
• New physician will see approximately 15 - 20 patients a day in the clinic and perform 5-10 surgeries per week.
• The practice is supported by a dedicated team of APPs, clinical and operational support staff.
• Ample operating room block time and dedicated robotic time
• Sarasota Memorial has three (3) daVinci 5 robots in the Main Operating Rooms, four (4) da Vinci Xis and a Single Port da Vinci.
• We are partnered with local groups to provide Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology.
• Extensive referral base of physicians within First Physicians Group and the community to support 3 Gyn/Oncs.
• Research opportunities are available through our new Kolschowsky Research & Education Institute if interested.
• Medical student teaching opportunities available but not required in affiliation with Florida State University. 

Required Qualifications:

• MD or DO from an accredited school of medicine
• Board Eligible or Board Certified
• Active and unrestricted Florida Medical License
• Open to all levels of experience
