Job Description
Responsibilities include:
- develop a special education curriculum and teach students with varying learning styles
- progress monitor students' goals
Minimum qualifications include:
- valid Ohio certification/licensure in Intervention Specialist K-12 or Education of the Handicapped (K-12) (5-year license preferred)
- positive role model for youth
- demonstrated ability to plan for and teach students with varying cognitive and physical abilities
- extensive knowledge of the IEP process
- ability to work with a flexible schedule in multiple settings
- ability to create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement, success and independence
- skilled at bridging differences and fostering mutual respect to create a cohesive, effective learning environment
