H.S. Intervention Specialist

Responsibilities include:

• develop a special education curriculum and teach students with varying learning styles
• progress monitor students' goals

Minimum qualifications include:

• valid Ohio certification/licensure in Intervention Specialist K-12 or Education of the Handicapped (K-12) (5-year license preferred)
• positive role model for youth
• demonstrated ability to plan for and teach students with varying cognitive and physical abilities
• extensive knowledge of the IEP process
• ability to work with a flexible schedule in multiple settings
• ability to create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement, success and independence
• skilled at bridging differences and fostering mutual respect to create a cohesive, effective learning environment
