Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking an HACCP Coordinator for a new opportunity with our client, a local food manufacturing facility. The HACCP Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the facility’s food safety, HACCP, and sanitation programs to ensure compliance with regulatory, company, and customer requirements. This role works closely with Operations, Quality Assurance, and Food Safety teams to support production processes, monitor compliance activities, and drive continuous improvement in food safety systems.Job DutiesCoordinate and maintain facility HACCP, food safety, sanitation (SSOP), and process control programs.Monitor and verify critical control points (CCPs), process controls, and food safety documentation to ensure compliance prior to product release.Investigate deviations, verify corrective actions, and implement preventive measures consistent with HACCP plans.Conduct internal HACCP audits and participate in regulatory, customer, and third-party audits.Develop, coordinate, and deliver food safety and HACCP training programs for supervisors and associates.Maintain and update HACCP plans, supporting documentation, and related records following reassessments or process changes.Review food safety, sanitation, and operational records daily to ensure accuracy and compliance.Track and report food safety deviations, missed checks, and documentation issues to leadership teams.Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and regulatory personnel to support food safety initiatives and compliance requirements.Assist with environmental monitoring programs, product testing activities, and mock recall/stock recovery exercises.Monitor regulatory updates, directives, and notices to ensure facility compliance with current food safety regulations.Maintain organized food safety records and documentation systems.Support inventory management for QA and food safety testing supplies.Provide leadership support within the Food Safety and Quality Systems department as needed, including coverage for supervisory or clerical responsibilities.Spend time on the production floor monitoring implementation and effectiveness of food safety systems.Work flexible hours, including weekends or alternate shifts, as business needs require.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related field preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or a related food manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of HACCP, SSOP, and food safety regulatory requirements.Ability to interpret and apply regulatory documents, directives, and notices.Understanding of food production processes and food safety systems.Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and training presentation abilities.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.CertificationsHACCP Certification required (Basic and Advanced HACCP through a HACCP Alliance Certified program preferred).
