Title Half (.5) Graduate Assistant - Office of Teaching and Learning Position Description
The Half Graduate Assistant (.5 GA) will work 10 hours per week and receive up to 15 credits of tuition and student fee waivers: 6 for fall, 6 for spring and 3 for summer.
Responsibilities/Duties
The Graduate Assistant will engage in the following project-based and professional activities:
Faculty Development Support
Assist in the design and delivery of workshops, learning communities, and training sessions.
Support development of resources on teaching strategies, inclusive pedagogy, and educational technologies
Collaborate with OTL staff and Faculty Fellows on programming initiatives
Instructional Design & Educational Technology
Support course design and redesign projects using evidence-based practices
Assist faculty in integrating instructional technologies and digital tools into teaching
Contribute to development of online and hybrid learning resources
Research & Assessment
Assist with research on teaching and learning initiatives, including literature reviews and data analysis
Support assessment of OTL programs and initiatives
Contribute to reports, presentations, or scholarship related to teaching and learning
Resource Development & Curation
Develop and curate materials (guides, tutorials, case studies) for faculty use
Help maintain and expand OTL's resource repository
Create communication materials to promote OTL programs and services
Strategic Projects
Participate in special projects aligned with OTL priorities (e.g., AI in teaching, inclusive pedagogy initiatives, faculty learning communities)
Collaborate across campus units when appropriate
