Our organization is in search of a Hand Surgeon to deliver thorough assessments, both surgical and non-surgical treatments, along with follow-up care for individuals experiencing issues with their hands, wrists, forearms, and peripheral upper extremity nerves. This position encompasses outpatient clinic responsibilities, inpatient consultative services, emergency on-call duties, and teamwork with a multidisciplinary group to ensure high-quality, patient-focused care.
Position Overview:
- Evaluate and treat a wide range of hand and upper extremity ailments, including traumatic injuries, degenerative conditions, congenital defects, nerve disorders, and soft-tissue issues.
- Conduct surgical procedures such as fracture fixation, tendon and nerve repairs, arthroplasty, reconstructive surgeries, microvascular operations, and arthroscopy.
- Administer non-surgical treatments when suitable (including injections, splinting, therapy referrals, and conservative management).
- Provide inpatient consultations and emergency department assessments related to hand and upper extremity conditions.
- Engage in a shared call rotation for hand and upper extremity emergencies.
- Collaborate effectively with orthopedic surgeons, plastic surgeons, primary care providers, occupational/hand therapists, radiologists, and hospital personnel.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
- Completion of a Hand Surgery Fellowship.
- Board certified or board eligible in Orthopedic Surgery or Plastic Surgery.
- Possession of an active state medical license (or the ability to obtain one).
- Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Hand Surgery (or eligibility to acquire it).
- Current DEA & CDS registration.
