*Position is PRN and will be primarily for backup and vacation coverage.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is responsible for evaluating patients, planning, implementing, and modifying treatment programs for the upper limb, including hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder girdle. In addition to direct patient intervention, the CHT is involved in the education of patient, family, caregivers and staff regarding the patient’s functional level. The CHT may participate in student education and other related duties as required or assigned by supervisor.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Colorado OT license or Colorado PT license, and BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required. Must have CHT as commissioned by the Hand Therapist Certification Commission, or able to sit for boards within one year of hire.  
  • Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university.  
  • Hand therapy experience required. Burn therapy experience preferred.  
  • Able to perform all evaluations, assessment, and treatment planning required in this position.  Effective verbal and written communication. 

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (CHT-HTCC) Certified Hand Therapist, or (OT) Occupational Therapist, or (LPT) Licensed Physical Therapist
  • Bachelors Degree, or Masters Degree, or Doctorate Degree
