Job Location:  This position is 3 days per week in Mineola, New York (22 Jericho Turnpike) and 2 days per week at a clinic in Queens or elsewhere on Long Island.

Responsibilities:

As a OT - Hand Therapist, You’ll Achieve Success By:

  • Reviewing patient medical history and developing individualized treatment plans
  • Diagnosing patients by observing movements and listening to concerns
  • Using exercises, stretching, equipment, and manual therapy to manage pain and improve mobility
  • Recording patient progress and modifying treatment plans as needed
Qualifications:

Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist Requirements: 

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (or ability to obtain in the state of practice)
  • Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success
  • Basic computer skills
  • CPR and first aid certification required
  • Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) strongly preferred OR

    • CHT-eligible (minimum 4,000 hours of hand therapy experience and 3 years of practice), awaiting board examinationOR

    • Level II fieldwork in hand therapy, with relevant continuing education, and 1–2 years of outpatient hand therapy experience as a licensed OT; NO New Grads

  • Experience treating orthopedic upper-extremity conditions, with a primary focus on adult patients preferred. Expertise includes elbow, wrist, hand, and finger fractures; Carpal Tunnel Syndrome; Trigger Fingers; Osteoarthritis; Rheumatoid Arthritis; tendinopathies; nerve injuries; post-surgical care; and tendon repairs/transfers.

 

Compensation: $86K - $108K+ inclusive of productivity incentives, with additional compensation opportunities for certifications. Benefits include generous paid time off, medical, dental, vision, disability, and 401(K) with a 4% employer match.
