Title: Manufacturing - Handler - Material (Mid-Level)
Duration: 4+ Months Contract
Location: 1584 Enterprise Blvd West Sacramento, CA 95691
Pay: $18.25 /hr on W2 without benefits
Summary:- Loads and unloads material within a warehouse or storage facility.
- Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment.
- May require a high school diploma with 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Has knowledge of commonly-used practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Works under immediate supervision.
- Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
- Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
- Executes the receiving, storing, picking, staging and distribution of materials required for assembly/manufacture of product.
Key responsibilities/essential functions include: - Perform physical movement of materials from one area to another using handcarts or fork lifts Picks parts/products for shipments ensuring accuracy of identification and quantity
- Physically and systemically receive/issue individual material requisitions from internal and external departments
- Create and/or maintain transactional inventory records
- Maintain accurate files of packing and shipping activity
- Communicate/notify appropriate personnel of shipping/inventory discrepancies
- Fill kits and deliver to production as required Maintain stocking/inventory objectives
- Quantifies and verifies cycle count
- May assist in training new hires
- Comply with EHS & Quality System regulations and policies
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications: - High school Diploma/GED or local equivalent 3 years' experience in storing and material handling
- Demonstrate ability to read, write and speak in local language
- Proficient in basic mathematics Ability to communicate well and work with others
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to consistently lift
- Ability to utilize automated lifting equipment.
