Process Engineering Technician – San Diego, CA – Division: Composite Sealing Systems (CSS) – Job Type: Full‑time – Posted: Jan23,2026 – Job ID62376GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe Process Engineering Technician supports hands‑on manufacturing and manufacturing process control. They troubleshoot active manufacturing jobs, implement process improvements, create standard work documentation, and collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor and other stakeholders to update on manufacturing schedules, process yields, and project status.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSTroubleshoot active manufacturing jobs and provide guidance to manufacturing team members.Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to provide updates on manufacturing schedules, process yields, and project status.Support active production by helping perform standard rubber molding and manufacturing activities.Perform daily hands‑on work and actively engage in day‑to‑day operations.Support process control and improvements by creating standard work documentation using MS Office or other computer programs.Review Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA) documents on a regular basis.Support quality initiatives by maintaining compliance with ISO standards and regulations.Follow established safety and environmental policies, procedures, and methods applicable to the work area.Support FOD control practices by wearing clean room attire as necessary and following standard operating procedures.Perform other duties as required.QUALIFICATIONSEducationHigh‑school diploma or general education degree (GED).Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Engineering.Experience2+ years of relevant experience providing theoretical and practical knowledge.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Experience with SharePoint and internal sites preferred.Familiarity with MSSV preferred.SkillsRead, write, and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence.Apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.Work and train from verbal and written instructions.Speak, read, and write in English.Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.Perform basic mathematical calculations for measurements and quantities.Adapt to changing tasks and work assignments in a fast‑paced setting.Understand and adhere to quality standards in production processes.Work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues.Understand and comprehend complex instructions.Communicate via email with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.PHYSICAL DEMANDSLift up to 35 pounds regularly.Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.Bend, stoop, and reach frequently.Use hands and fingers for detailed work over extended periods.Perform repetitive tasks with focus on accuracy and efficiency.Wear required PPE throughout the shift.Use power tools and heavy machinery.Shift working hours as necessary (e.g., start times 4am to 7am).CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTThis role requires compliance with U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
