We are a growing Property Maintenance LLC providing repair and maintenance services for commercial retail stores, office buildings, and residential properties. We are looking for a dependable, skilled Handyman to join our team and handle a wide variety of maintenance and repair projects, including emergency service calls.
Job Summary
The Handyman will perform general property maintenance, basic plumbing, basic electrical work, carpentry, drywall repairs, painting, fixture installation, and other repair tasks. The ideal candidate is reliable, self-motivated, customer-focused, and capable of working independently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general handyman repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and complete basic plumbing repairs, including:
- Faucet repairs and replacements
- Toilet repairs and installations
- Drain cleaning
- Water supply line replacement
- Sink repairs
- Perform basic electrical work, including:
- Replacing switches and outlets
- Installing light fixtures
- Replacing breakers (where permitted)
- Troubleshooting minor electrical issues
- Installing motion sensors and door hardware
- Complete drywall patching, painting, and caulking.
- Install and repair doors, locks, hinges, weather stripping, and door closers.
- Perform minor carpentry, flooring, fence, and ceiling tile repairs.
- Assemble and install fixtures, shelving, cabinets, and equipment.
- Perform exterior maintenance, including pressure washing, debris removal, and minor landscaping when required.
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls after hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Diagnose issues and recommend cost-effective repair solutions.
- Document completed work with clear photos and detailed service notes.
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain a professional appearance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of handyman or property maintenance experience.
- Experience with commercial and residential maintenance.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general repairs.
- Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues independently.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Required Tools & Equipment
Candidates must provide their own basic tools and equipment, including but not limited to:
- Complete hand tool set
- Power drill and impact driver
- Circular saw or reciprocating saw
- Angle grinder
- Oscillating multi-tool
- Extension cords
- Ladders (6 ft and 8 ft minimum)
- Voltage tester and basic electrical tools
- Plumbing tools
- Pipe wrench and channel locks
- Drywall repair tools
- Caulking gun
- Painting equipment
- Measuring tools
- Safety equipment (gloves, eye protection, hard hat, safety vest)
- Smartphone capable of taking high-quality photos and using work order applications
Preferred Qualifications
