Skilled Handyman Technician (Residential Service & Repair)
$30–$35/hr + Bonuses + Allowances | Company Vehicle Opportunity | Full-Time

We’re hiring an experienced Skilled Handyman Technician to join a growing residential service team supporting homeowners throughout the Portland metro and SW Washington area. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys variety in their day, and can confidently work independently in customers’ homes.

What You’ll Do

Perform a variety of residential repair, maintenance, and improvement tasks, including:

• Drywall repair and patching
• Basic carpentry and trim work
• Door and hardware repairs
• Fence and exterior repairs
• Caulking and general home maintenance
• Light plumbing repairs and fixture replacements
• Painting touch-ups and finishing work
• Other handyman service tasks as needed

Most technicians complete 1–3 jobs per day, depending on project size and complexity.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous handyman, maintenance, remodeling, or residential construction experience
• Comfortable working across multiple trades
• Ability to diagnose issues and complete jobs independently
• Strong communication and professionalism in customers’ homes
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable learning and using scheduling/mobile apps
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting pay: $30/hour
• Performance-based raises at 30, 60, and 90 days
• Long-term earning potential up to $35/hour
• $25/job vehicle allowance during first 30 days
• Tool allowance
• Cell phone allowance
• Monthly bonus opportunities after 90 days
• Potential access to a company vehicle after successful onboarding and approval

Training & Growth

New hires receive hands-on onboarding and support, including shadowing with an experienced technician during the first week. Successful team members are expected to begin working independently shortly after training and will have opportunities for long-term growth.

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be comfortable traveling throughout the Portland metro and surrounding areas
